Allies for Greyhounds, Inc. (formerly Allies for Greyhounds of West Michigan) is an all volunteer organization dedicated to rehoming greyhounds bred for racing.  AFG has recently reached a milestone 2,000 dogs placed into loving homes since inception in  2006. Allies for Greyhounds looks out for the welfare of greyhounds, finding homes for them where they may live out their natural lives as pets.  They also work to educate the public about greyhounds' qualities as pets and their care. Their work depends on generous supporters like us!

Greyhound Friends of NJ (GFNJ) is a non-profit organization dedicated to placing retired racing greyhounds into responsible, loving homes.  While GFNJ is predominantly a greyhound adoption group, it will also help some non-greyhounds in need of rescue from high-risk situations by providing them monetary support and/or a safe haven.

Connecticut Greyhound Adoption - GPA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all-volunteer organization based in the Farmington Valley. Our group is strongly committed to outreach and believe that we can best help the hounds by educating and informing the public about the joys or sharing one's home with a retired racing Greyhound. GreyhoundAdoption of Ohio was established in 1992 to find homes for retired racing greyhounds. Our goal, at GAO, is to place our greyhounds with loving, committed families where they will live safe and secure for the rest of their lives. To that end, GAO offers support to help the dog transition into his or her new life and throughout the life of the pet.  Since our inception, we have placed more than 3,000 greyhounds in loving homes. We are currently bringing in ex-racers from Ireland.

GreyhoundAdoption Center is an organization that invests in HOPE and HAPPY ENDINGS.

"We see Greyhounds’ potential and amazingly, these dogs who have no reason to trust humans, give us their trust. With love, nutrition, and medical care, we see them transform from hopeless to hopeful.  Then we take it a step further.  Because they have trusted us, we feel it is our obligation to do everything we can to ensure their happy ending.  We work with adopters to match their lifestyles to the right dog.  Each adoption day is a new beginning and reinforces our hope in happily ever after.  

Now we are based in a volunteer-built shelter which is licensed, clean, comfortable, and climate-controlled.  Our center has 3.5 acres of land, two expansive, fully fenced grassy fields, 13 spacious “Dog Condos” and a primary greyhound lodging kennel. We often have around 50 dogs on premises.GAC relies on the generosity of members, sponsors, donors and volunteers.  The Greyhound Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) charity."

Greyhound Welfare is an all-volunteer, non-profit greyhound adoption group. We place retired racing greyhounds throughout the metropolitan Washington DC area, including DC, Northern Virginia, and Central/Southern Maryland.Our retired racers come to us from tracks in the Mid-Atlantic and South, and all our greyhounds live in real homes until they are placed. This helps us teach the dogs about their new world, and learn more about the individual dogs. Knowing our dogs well helps us greatly with our placement success. It also helps us better help our adopters once the dog goes home.

COLORADO GREYHOUND ADOPTION

 

Colorado Greyhound Adoption is a non-profit organization 501(c)3 devoted to placement and adoption of greyhounds. CGA is 100% volunteer-run, and available dogs are fostered in individual homes. Colorado Greyhound Adoption completed over 4,300 adoptions to date. Many dogs had special medical needs, and our vet bills are staggering, but we will continue with your support. Our group is racing neutral and receives no track funding or support, so we rely on greyhound lovers like you to help these greyt dogs.
