THIS MONTH ALL PROCEEDS, MINUS FEES, FROM SALES IN THE HANDMADE4HOUNDS SHOP ON ETSY WILL BE DONATED TO
Halfway Home Greyhound Adoption in Tulsa, OK, is a unique adoption team
formed in April 2002 by Teddy Palmer to help greyhounds find adoptive homes
that do not have access to track adoption programs. Teddy built a 16 run kennel
in her own backyard to house hounds in waiting. The small group of dedicated
volunteers is motivated by a mutual love of the breed and respect for the
farms’ commitment to the dogs. Halfway Home is unique because they not only
support local adoption, but they also organize hauls to transport greyhounds
from farms and tracks to adoption groups all over the country. The amount of
time and money that go into each haul is often enormous, and could not be done
without the commitment of many people willing to provide their time and efforts
to cover the expenses of each haul.
Halfway Home is a non-profit 501(c)3 that is currently celebrating moving 5,927 dogs into loving homes…Some of them could be in your homes right now!
