The American Lurcher Project Team works on behalf of the lurchers (greyhound mixed breeds) to get them to responsible
adoption groups. We believe these wonderful dogs deserve a second chance to
live a life in a real home. Lurchers have a wonderful strong spirit and most of
the lurchers adjust quickly and are very appreciative of their new home and
family. We are not an adoption group, but we rescue and transport the dogs to
groups throughout the United States and Canada. We are forever indebted to the
adoption groups who have taken these wonderful dogs and given them a second
