Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, Inc. (GALT) is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit corporation operating in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, throughout Texas, New Mexico and the United States since May, 2001. GALT has assisted more than 3400 greyhounds and other sighthounds in finding their forever homes.  GALT depends solely on donations and net proceeds from its GreytStore.org for its operating budget of more than $360,000 per year for needs of the dogs in its possession. Colorado Greyhound Adoption (CGA) is a non-profit organization 501(c)3 devoted to placement and adoption of greyhounds. We are 100% volunteer-run and available dogs are fostered in individual homes.

Colorado Greyhound Adoption has over 4,500 adoptions in the life of it's organization. Based in the metropolitan Denver area, our volunteer base continues to grow, as more and more greyhound enthusiasts become involved.

ARIZONA ADOPT A GREYHOUND INC

Arizona Adopt A Greyhound is proud to be one of the nation’s largest Greyhound Adoption agencies. Lots of dedicated and hard working volunteers have made AAGI the successful program it is today.

We keep all of our dogs in foster homes.  We host or attend various special events throughout the year as well as regular Meet & Greet events so people can see what wonderful pets these “greyt” dogs make. We have relationships with racing kennel owners who like us to take their dogs, plus the ever returning stream of dogs coming back for divorces, deaths, moves or finances. We always have dogs for adoption!

FAST FRIENDS GREYHOUND ADOPTIONS OF CALIFORNIA

FastFriends has a single purpose - to “adopt” racing greyhounds when their track careers are finished and find each one an adoptive home where they can experience long, happy lives as companion pets and family members. We have been doing this since October 1995 and are have found homes for 4000 ex-racing greyhounds.

FastFriends Greyhound Adoption is dedicated to finding kind, loving homes for every greyhound retiring from the Caliente Race Track in Tijuana.

Charity of the Month: National Greyhound Foundation, December 2019

SHOPPING HERE HELPS HOUNDS! This month, ALL PROCEEDS will be donated to National Greyhound Foundation in Homosassa, Florida

For over 25 years, the National Greyhound Foundation’s mission statement has been to rescue, adopt, and educate the public about racing greyhounds and other abused people and animals.

We have always been NEUTRAL about Greyhound racing, but NOT NEUTRAL about animal cruelty or abuse to anyone, human or animal.

In 2010 the need to keep overflow retired greyhounds was desperate.  When the call was sent out to organizations for help, the Dept. of Corrections in numerous states answered.  And the 2nd Chance at Life Greyhound and Prison Partnership program was created. It was a win-win situation for everyone, people and these greyhounds.  Years later, we can point with pride at the thousands of greyhounds and “throw away people” this program has given a 2nd Chance at Life to!

Charity of the Month: James River Greyhounds, November 2019

When a greyhound's racing career has come to a close, they are looking for a loving “forever home”. These amazing, beautiful dogs are ready for a home life; much of their daily routine at the track translates well into life as a pet. They are eager to please, romp and of course lie down for a nap. 

James River Greyhounds (formerly GPA Richmond) has been dedicated to finding responsible, caring homes for retired racing greyhounds in Central Virginia since 1989. We have found "forever homes" for more than 1350 greyhounds - and counting! 

Our organization is run exclusively on donations and the efforts of dedicated volunteers to accomplish our mission of engaging and educating our communities about the need for greyhound adopters, to facilitate the adoption of retired racing greyhounds and, as an extended group across Central Virginia, enjoy these wonderful animals as pets.

We bring adopters into the process so they aren't intimidated or left waiting. GEGR does not have a kennel.
