Galgo Podenco Support helps Spanish hounds find their way home. We support the Spanish charities that are dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of abandoned and abused Spanish hunting dogs, galgos and podencos. Additionally, we have 10 years of experience facilitating adoptions from Spain to the US.

Galgo Podenco Support is a Project of Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs (SEE), a registered public charity, which provides non-profit status. All donations are fully tax deductible.

Greyhounds Only (GO)

The mission of Greyhounds Only is to place retired racing and at-risk greyhounds into responsible, loving homes, to educate the public about the greyhound breed, to provide access to high-quality medical care and to collaborate with others who share our common goals.

 

Greyhounds Only is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit greyhound rescue and adoption group based in Northeastern Illinois. We take in retired racing greyhounds from all over the country and find them good homes. Greyhound Adoptions of Florida (GAF)

GAF's Marilyn Varnberg says: "Greyhound Adoptions of Florida was founded almost 20 years ago with the express purpose of helping retired racing greyhounds find an adoptive home that would last forever. Over the years, we began to see the need to help the injured, the old and those who fell through the cracks....and there were so very many of those.

In the past two months, we have taken three broken leg dogs who needed surgery....their bills totaled over $10,000. These dogs deserve the same chance that any greyhound does....and thanks to so many of you, we have been able to give them that chance. Thank you all for your continued support!"

Greyhound Rescue and Adoptions of Tampa Bay -  GREAT, Inc.

 

GREAT, Inc. is a non-profit greyhound rescue and adoption organization located in central Florida with main objectives to place greyhounds in homes, educate and spread awareness. Greyhounds received from racing trainers and owners or surrendered to animal shelters are placed in foster homes to help with transition from track to home. The success of GREAT depends solely on the efforts of volunteers, network of foster parents, and donations from the community.

Greyhound Friends of New Jersey

Greyhound Friends of New Jersey, Inc. is a non-profit organization that relies on funds generated through adoptions, grants, donations, and fund-raising events throughout New Jersey and the tri-state area.  To GFNJ, finding homes for ex-racing greyhounds is a labor of love.  Today, that devotion finds homes for more than 250 greyhounds in need of a safety net, regardless of gender, size, color or age.  There is a home out there for every one of them; it’s our job to find it. www.greyhoundfriendsnj.org

GRIN (Galgo Rescue International Network)

 The Galgo Rescue International Network (GRIN) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare organization run entirely by volunteers that was founded to establish a relationship between the animal shelters in Spain and animal lovers in the US and around the world. Our love of greyhounds and concern for their plight drew us to their cousins — the galgos and podencos.
Since its inception in 2006, GRIN has rehomed hundreds of dogs (most of them galgos); provided thousands of leashes, collars, and coats to the shelters; delivered hundreds of pounds of medical supplies to the shelter clinics; and donated tens of thousands of dollars in cash to shelters.
